It is composed of individuals and leaders who, by virtue of their expertise or professional qualifications, are able to take on responsibilities through their participation, carry them out professionally, and maintain friendly relationships with one another within the committee. Examples include school principals who represent their respective schools. Membership on the municipal council is often mistakenly conflated with membership on the shooting committee. Of course, it is possible for a member of the Shooting Association Board to also serve on the municipal council. The city itself is represented on the Shooting Association Board by its three mayors, who are appointed in accordance with the rules of procedure. The committees within the Shooting Association Board develop their perspectives and proposals and then submit them to the Executive Board. The Executive Board deliberates and prepares the results for discussion at the plenary or general assembly. There, they are then thoroughly discussed and weighed once again before being put to a vote. This is generally the procedure within the Schützendirektion. Undoubtedly, there are also minor decisions—such as how many posters to print or which specific prizes to select for the drawing—that do not need to be discussed in the plenary assembly first. But all major and relevant matters are decided in our highest governing body, this general assembly.
