The Stadtgarten in Biberach an der Riß is a central, well-maintained park featuring mature trees, walking paths, and peaceful recreational areas right in the heart of the city.
The Biberach City Garden was laid out in 1977 based on designs by landscape architects Mien Ruys (1904–1999) of Amsterdam and Jo Hagel of Biberach. In the summer, the lower level of the garden transforms into a sea of flowers. Amid the flowers, shrubs, and a small pond, it’s a wonderful place to relax on one of the many benches. Situated slightly higher up and carved into the hillside is the Stadtgarten Rondell, where concerts are held during the summer holidays. The Stadtgarten is dominated by the White Tower. Several paths lead up to the Gigelberg, past the White Tower and the Gigel Tower, and across the Hirschgraben.
