§5 Third-party services used

(1) Use of data from the mein.toubiz database

This website incorporates content (e.g. details of events, excursions or accommodation) from the tourism database mein.toubiz, a service provided by land in sicht AG, Wießentalstraße 5, 79115 Freiburg. When you use this data, your personal data may be processed, for example when you fill in a relevant form or register for an event. Depending on the function, the data collected includes, in particular, device information, your IP address, referrer URL and interactions with integrated mein.toubiz elements. Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in the efficient provision of information). Further information on the handling of personal data by mein.toubiz and land in sicht AG can be found in their own privacy policy at https://mein.toubiz.de/datenschutz.

Some of the mein.toubiz data records contain links to the what3words service (https://what3words.com/). When you click on such a link, you will leave our site. The privacy policy of what3words then applies. We have no influence over the extent to which your data is processed there. (8) Timetable information from bwegt.de

On our website, we offer the timetable information service provided by bwegt.de, a service operated by MENTZ GmbH (Grillparzerstraße 18, 81675 Munich). To use the form, the following non-personal data may be provided:

  • Mobility restrictions
  • Start and destination locations
  • Departure and arrival times
  • Travel period
  • Mode of transport
  • Bicycle transport
  • Transfer information
  • Mobility restrictions

In addition, the IP address is processed when using the form and when displaying the results.

The timetable information service uses the device’s location for location-based services, provided this has been authorised (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For this purpose, location data is collected in anonymised form via GPS and the end device’s IP address; we do not store this location data long-term. Permission to use the location can be revoked at any time in the end device’s settings. The timetable information service can also be used without access to the location.

To use the full range of functions of the timetable information service, the local storage of the respective browser is used. In particular, the following information is stored depending on the function used: 

  • saveSettings: indicates to the SL3+ when reloading that search options have been saved and are stored in local storage
  • settings: search options such as preferred modes of transport, connection type, maximum walking time, etc.
  • The last map size used in a detailed view (mobile view only)
  • The last map size used in the standard view (desktop view only)
  • favourites: the suggestions marked as favourites in the start and destination fields
  • lastODVSelected: the last selected items in the start and destination fields
  • Status of the ‘Update every minute’ checkbox (departure monitor)

We embed the iframe on our website on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in order to offer users the benefits of direct timetable enquiries.

The additional data collected, which is stored in local storage to improve usability, can be deleted by clearing the stored data in the browser. Depending on the browser provider, this can be done in the settings. In addition, anonymous statistics are compiled using the information provided regarding the departure and destination stops, the desired departure or arrival time, and the time of the query. No personal identification is possible in this context.

(9) Matomo

We use Matomo for web analytics (hosted locally, with no data transfer). Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR or Article 6(1)(a) (where consent to cookies has been given)

 

(10) Eye-Able®

We use the Eye-Able® tool from Web Inclusion GmbH on our website. Eye-Able® is used to ensure our website is accessible. Using the functions provided, users can adjust individual settings to improve the website’s accessibility (e.g. adjusting contrast, font size or text-to-speech).

Technically necessary cookies are used to provide and store these settings. These do not store any personal data, but only the selected display options. Their use is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in an accessible and user-friendly website).

§6 data processor

We use external service providers (e.g. booking platforms, hosting providers) with whom we have entered into GDPR-compliant data processing agreements (Article 28 of the GDPR).

(1) You may withdraw any consent you have given us for data processing at any time.

(2) You may object at any time to data processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
